Thursday Thirteen
June 28th, 2007 by Amelia June
I’m days away (I seriously hope) from a writer’s group Firefly-stravaganza! Yay! This almost makes up for missing Can’t Stop the Serenity last weekend. So in honor of that…

| Thirteen Firefly/Serenity moments that make me laugh out loud
1. “Mercy is the mark of a great man” *stab* “I guess I’m just a good man.” *stab* “Well I’m all right.” –Mal
2. “The man they call…me” –Jayne
3. “I call her Vera.” –Jayne
4. “Special hell.” –Book
5. “I’ll be in my bunk.” –Jayne
6. “I’ll kill a man in a fair fight. Or if I think he’s gonna start a fair fight. Or if he bothers me. Or if there’s a woman. Or if I’m gettin’ paid. Mostly when I’m gettin’ paid.” –Jayne
7. “…goin’ on a year now and I ain’t had nothin’ twixt my nethers weren’t run on batteries!” –Kaylee
8. “You can’t open the book of my life and jump in the middle. Like woman, I’m a mystery.” –Mal
9. “Yessir, Captain Tight Pants.” –Kaylee
10. “Also? I can kill you with my brain.” –River
11. “Can I start gettin’ sexed already?” –Jayne
12. “We’re deep in space, corner of No and Where.” –Mal
13. “We will rule over all this land, and we will call it… ‘This Land’.”
“I think we should call it…your grave!”
“Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!”
“Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh…now die!” –Wash

Oh man! It’s so funny you did this. I rented the DVD of the series “Firefly” (I love the movie “Serenity”) and never got a chance to watch it before it had to go back. Darn it.
I will, though.
Love these.

Hubby and I purchased Firefly on DVD at the start of the year and both LOVED it. Jayne cracks me up, too.

I love #13, and it was like very early in the pilot season (never saw Firefly on TV). When I saw that little bit, I said, “I think I’m going to like this serious. A lot.”
And I was right.
I also love Jayne, btw. Hehehe, he’s so funny, with his hat and Vera.

Lmao…great list! I love Jayne too.

Great list! I always thought Jayne had such great potential. He was the ultimate redeemable hero.

Susan–Firefly the show came first, then the movie Serenity.
I’m shocked how many virgins there are! Go rent, go watch, you won’t regret it–if you don’t like the show, the men are still delicious to look at

I’ve never seen those either. Is it regular tv or cable ?

Kissa, it was on Fox for one sad season and then Fox canceled it. There was such a huge fan uprising that Universal made a movie out of what was supposed to be the second season.
You can get a copy of the shows on Netflix now, shoot the whole season is only 30 bux at Amazon. It was written by the guy who did Buffy and Angel, so if you like those and you like sci fi, this is a no brainer.
