Rambles from the weekend

I’m critting my Diva partner Jenn’s contest entry–she’s a finalist for an RWA contest! That is so cool, I hope she grabs a prize! Her idea is very unique and I’m enjoying the voice of her mc, too. Not much of a chore to crit her stuff

I think I might enter a book in the EPPIEs. But my nerves, I don’t know if they can take it LOL. And the other question is, which book? Hm…

Alison Kent’s blog contest is still running, and others have taken up the mantle as well. If you comment several places, you help raise money and up your chances to win a copy of the book! Go, comment mightily!

Also, eXtasy is running a writing contest I’m soooo tempted to enter. The Jason Bell stories (like, as if Katya was writing them) would make great serials like those old movies (you know, “will the hero make it off that cliff? Find out NEXT WEEK!”). Anyway, if you have any thoughts on plot ideas for a very bad, very corny, very horny sci fi serial, let me know. It is definitely on my mind. Speaking of that, I swear to the gods I’ve created reality in that goofy Jason Bell. I can’t stop considering new ways to write about him–he’s taken on a life of his own!! Weird…..

eXtasy Books is currently open for submissions. We are looking for all types of
erotica, from mild to supernova hot. Any genre is welcome. Word count is from

As an incentive, we are running a writer’s contest. Come up with your best saga,
series, serial and see it published on a monthly basis. All chapters for these
must be between 12 and 20 K. First prize, publication plus an ebookman reader.
Second and third prizes, publication plus a 20 dollar gift certificate to shop
at eXtasy Books. Contest open now! Closing date: November 30th, 2007.
