Waiting waiting waiting

waiting-waiting-waiting

I’m waiting on word about a submission. I’ve been waiting, and I will likely keep waiting for quite a while.

Dude, I totally hate waiting. But it is part of the job. I personally have always been a band-aid ripper, from bad news to which brand of to buy. My husband goes nuts with me, because he will research every decision to death. I’ll just say “how about this one?” and be done with it, LOL.

The publishing industry is kind of the opposite. Don’t turn in that manuscript too soon, don’t expect a fast response, don’t rush and hurry–um, unless they ask you to LOL. Hurry up and wait, that is the publishing mantra.

So, I’m still waiting. At the six month mark, I’ll send a little email to make sure I’m not lost, but that’s it. Someday, I might even hear back!

(but I still check my email 10000 times a day–”just in case.” Sighhhhhhh.)

I’m right there with you on the waiting boat. And my butt is firmly planted in one of those email-checking seats.

When they said 8-10 weeks, they really mean 8-10 DAYS, right? *g*

I think they meant it can take 12 weeks not 12 months, right?? hee
