Writer squee

I have been searching for a piece of software to help me plot and plan and keep track of a rather large series that exists in my head.

For now, the series is called the Guardians series, but I might change it to the Anointed, because there is already a Guardians series out there that is totally different. Dunno yet. But I digest…(oh Family Guy, how I love you)

Then I found Microsoft One Note. I’m not typically a huge Microsoft fan, but this program is unbelievable versatile and contains all the features I wanted. Weird. I can draw and manipulate a timeline of events easily, add pages and pages-within-pages easily, add bullet points easily, color code and on and on and on. It is like a notebook with erasing and typing instead of my messy scribbles.

Before stomach virus of death, I opened that bad boy up and started a whole notebook on my books: characters, mythology, timeline, the whole nine yards. I’m in big squee mode now–I actually feel like I’ll be prepared to fix up Waking Kiara (the first book in that series) and write a new one by NaNo. Plus the muse is in full force now, making up all kinds of cool stuff for this universe. Well, you know, I think so anyway :)

Anyone else have some writer squee to share?
