Weekend Stuff
I finally got to see the movie Stardust this weekend, and it was awesome! I’m new to Neil Gaiman so I’m sure lots of you are saying “duh.” I read Anansi Boys and I liked it, but I LOVED Stardust. Must pick up the novel.
You know, rarely do I see a movie these days that has good acting, great writing, wonderful sets and costuming and beautiful directing all in one film. Usually I can say “oh, so and so did a good job” or “oh the sets were neat” or whatnot, but movies just don’t put together the best package anymore. So Stardust was especially fun in that I liked every aspect of it. Go see it if you haven’t yet (cheap seats!)
I have looked around and realized I’m insanely busy through November, then of course there is NaNo. Figures, very little time to continue working on plot except in my head. Good thing my head-plotting is going wellish! There is a big chunk of the novel that is still “stuff happens here,” but it seems to be coming together well. We’ll see how it goes.
Otherwise, I had weirdly good fish ‘n chips this weekend, and stayed up too late watching Buffy again. Good times!

I read the book a few years ago and loved it. Hubby even got me a print from the novel signed by Neil Gaiman and Charles Vess. I can’t wait to see the movie.

OMG, try to get to it on the big screen if you can. The cinematography is excellent!
