Stuckitis
That is what I have, stuckinthehouseitis. My poor little dude is still sick, and you know he’s sick because he hasn’t moved much from the couch since Friday. My children won’t sit still for the apocalypse, so you can see how serious stillness is at our house. It’s kind of freaky. But we trekked to the doctor (the doctor’s office this time of year is filled with people coughing. I could feel the germs entering my body, ew.) and the report is good–just a long, nasty virus we can do nothing about, no infection or anything.
The peripheral result of this is that I can’t do my normal stuff, work on much I usually do. But I can dust, and I have dusted! The house, she is less dusty, and I did all the laundry too. Heh. I’m about ready to be done with the whole sick kid thing so I can go back to avoiding housework. There’s only so much Sesame Street I can stand, despite the adorable and clever shtick.
However, tonight is going to be awesome because I have tickets to see David Sedaris with my mom. I saw him once before, and I think I’m still laughing. I love his stuff, and if you like to read his books you would love to see him perform. He’s a gifted monologist–and really, how many people can put that on their resume? Hopefully he will cure my stuckitis, along with a pie maker visiting my house in the next couple days
Because really, what can’t pie fix?
