Contrition

I’m sorry, blog, I really am! I’ve been trying to get back here but just look at that word count! You have to admit, it was worth it :)

I’m heading into the home stretch of NaNo and the last half of the book. I’m about to put my heroine on a plane to Egypt, have a showdown with her intended who has been lying to her. No, capital-L Lying to her, and she’s gonna be mad. Then there’s the forgiving and the make up sex and the, um, stuff that happens after that.

Uh oh. Heh. The very end of this book is something of a mystery to me, but I can say that the big bads won’t be beat in this novel. The conflict of the novel itself is fixed, but not the world’s conflict. Writing a series is interesting, to say the least. I don’t actually know which book will end the series, or which book starts it. I know that Kiara and Maya are present day books, Maya comes after Kiara. But I have at least one book I have to set earlier then those two.

Like I said before, the whole thing is becoming unwieldy and REAL, which is uber cool but very daunting, also.

Lastly, I am loving Rashad more and more. He’s only my second real alpha male that I’ve been able to enjoy writing about, which is interesting and fun. All my boys have strength of character and loyalty to die for, but Rashad is just so much angst and anger, and a bit rougher in the bedroom than I expected, but it totally fits so I think I’ll be having more fun with that later. Imagine the dilemma, the delicious conflict because he is such a liar and submitting to a dominant lover takes such trust. Plus, Maya trusts everyone but now he’s been revealed and she’ll have to face that she was wrong about him (well, kind of). Fun! Mwahahaha, I am an evil goddess. I hope I’m pulling it off as well as I see it in my head.
