I don’t think I said I saw Sweeney Todd. I saw it, I LOVED it. Sondheim was a disturbed fellow, and Tim Burton is a genius. What possessed anyone to write a musical like that is beyond me, but it was so weirdly awesome that it wouldn’t have played as well without the music. And as someone on my flist said, Johnny+Alan Rickman singing Pretty Women was one of the most erotic things I have ever seen. Extra bonus? Sacha Baron Cohen’s tight tight velvet pants.

I like it a little dark–but I like humor too. Try the priest!
