Stuck City
I am stuck on this scene in Maya’s Web. It is a big scene, a break out of the compound all goes haywire and you must worry for their lives kind of scene.
I finally wrote it, but it still isn’t right. I’m supposed to be writing romance, not action, damn it! I dunno–I can see the action in my head but trying to transcribe it is difficult. I don’t understand why this is so much harder than the erotic bits for me. Except that I have more practice writing the erotic bits, LOL.
I know I’m rushing the scene, but at the same time the scene must feel rushed–it must feel breathless and worrisome.
Bah. Writer’s angst, another bonus of this glamorous lifestyle I live. Another bonus? The mysterious pee smell in my kids’ bathroom. You know you are jealous, LOL.

Howdy, I do not envy you the task of deodorizing the bathroom. I would hate to have to write romance. I could write war stories. Wanna swap,(not the kids)! LOL

I always hated that mysterious pee smell. LOL No matter how many times or how well you cleaned it seemed to always be there. LOL Mine are grown and gone now so I don’t have to worry about that anymore thankfully though. LOL

First time visitor and enjoyed reading some of the items on your blog. Good luck on writing the action-romance scenes

I have a 4 year old boy so I truly feel your pain regarding the mysterious pee smell. Good luck with that scene.

I’ve tried writing in the past, but never got to the novel length and they didn’t have novelas around then, so I can relate to what you are going thru and I don’t envy you at all. Good luck on the scene and God speed.
