“True love stories never have endings.” –Richard Bach

I know, if you’re single you hate it and if you’re married you light a candle at the table then spend the night making sure the kids (or the cats) don’t knock it over.

But I write love stories, damn it, and if I can’t celebrate a week of love, who can?! This week I’m going to do a special edition of my blog. I’m going to post a few romantic bits of my stories (pubbed and unpubbed) and generally appreciate that there is love in the world, even if it is hard to find sometimes.

For today, my favorite love song:

(turn it down a bit, the sound quality isn’t great. If it is too intolerable, check out this very good cover by a cute guy with a kickass accent: http://youtube.com/watch?v=a4lzJ51qcTU. And here’s a studio version with random pics: http://youtube.com/watch?v=JKRqUNI_9Js)

Ah Alan Doyle, you can come back to my house any day. Sighhhhhhh. I don’t know exactly what it is about this song, except that it has a sweet air of “look, here’s who I am, and I really hope you love me for that.” Gives me the sniffles.

And lastly, two Valentine’s quotes:

I don’t understand why Cupid was chosen to represent Valentine’s Day. When I think about romance, the last thing on my mind is a short, chubby toddler coming at me with a weapon. –Author Unknown

kisses are a better fate
than wisdom.
