Fun with code
I’m testing out a Myspace crossposter I found today–this way my myspace can stay updated as well as my livejournal does, yay! *crosses fingers*
In case you’re curious, the bread of the day is ciabatta, and the panini will involve roast beef and bleu cheese, and some fresh basil. Also crushed garlic, I think. Yum.
My day job has picked up considerably in the last few weeks, which is great but cuts into any remaining time I have to write. I’m busily learning things about the way I write and my process, though, which is great and helpful if on the backburner at the moment. I’m quite proud to be nearly done with Maya and nearly done with Danny/Jacob, and so very nearly done with Legacy (and by done with Legacy, I mean DONE with it). That way when I do get a minute that isn’t filled with paperwork or rushing around (my job is great, but it has lots of paperwork which is the not-great part), I’ll be better equipped to finish up the projects in question. I think I’m on the right track, is what I’m randomly trying to say.
I finished six granny squares for my scarf, which is my last “beginner” project in crochet before I turn to more complicated things (i.e. things not laid out in step by step format). I already have two requests for blankets and a hat for my son, so at least I have things to do. I’m also really excited about crochet to donate–little premie hats and blankets that are both quick to do and needed in the community. Sweet. I also put my family on the hunt for cheap yarn, lol. (hey ibsulon–is that camera a loaner or something you’re willing to sell me? I’m definitely interested but I want to keep it forever, hee).
OH, and I was driving along when the final scene of Maya totally hit me in the forehead. That hurt, but it was worth it! Plus it brings back this barely mentioned thing in an early chapter. I love it when the muse works like that
Lastly, most randomly, if the second season of Dexter does not appear on DVD soon I might have to saran wrap someone myself. Come ON people!
