Lime in the coconut

You know what I’d really like right now?

I want to be on the beach in Hawaii (damn you Lost and your awesome gorgeous settings). I want to feel the warm sand between my toes but sit in the shade under a tree, feeling the cool breeze wash over me. I want to be drinking a rather large rum and coconut beverage, extra rum. I want to be able to get up and float in the ocean, let the waves rock me back and forth, smell the salt and tang. I want to take a walk and watch dolphins flipping in the distance and birds cruising over the waves. I want a stack of books, a sandwich and a nap. I want to explore the jungle a little, and eat fish fresh caught. I want to smell the hibiscus. I want to get a tan on my shoulders. I want to meditate to the sound of birds crying and lizards shaking the leaves (the ants and mosquitos I can live without, because it is my fantasy).

I want to give myself over to nature for a while.

I love this song, it is just exactly the way I feel about my home and my family, and while it isn’t Hawaii, I’m awfully lucky to have a space like this around me.
