“Circles”

First off, I worked on Maya’s Web today which makes me verra happy. Verra. I’m like, a chapter and a half away from finishing it now, I think, maybe two. I wish I could go to RT this year again, but the finances sadly did not bear out. Hopefully next year, but it would be nice to have someone to room with and hang out with (so I don’t have to leech off Megan and Lauren the whole time, despite that being SO much fun!)

Secondly, here is the project I just finished, titled “circles” scarf, or alternately, “emeyecee:”

This is a pattern I kind of made up, with some help from this scarf. It was intended for desertbell to put pins on, but she may want to do other things with it. Whateva, I still think it would be a great pin holder!

Here are some pieces pre-assembly. That rainbow one looks *just* like the giant lollipops they sell at Disneyland. I’m tempted to make a few crochet lollipops now, just for fun.

The finished product–clearly I need some practice taking pictures of scarves, because I could not get a good pic of the whole thing.

And a close up. I think it is pretty cute but in the middle of doing it I got all angsty that it was ugly for some reason. Seems writing isn’t the only front in which the middle of a project sucks. Great.

I’m so done crocheting in the round for a project, haha. This next one is all rows, dangit. I also need to figure out how to work with very fluffy yarn–the counting stitches thing becomes impossible! Also also (wit), I’m deserthooker on Ravelry if anyone is on their forums. Love that site!
