Whoops!

whoops

Due to some miscommunication, The Romance Studio just gave away a book of mine that isn’t releasing until July. Dangit!

I love TRS, they are great to work with and prompt and efficient. I’m not sure how much of my sales are related to doing things over there, but I always have a great time with their interviews and things. They even READ the book first! Huge.

Now, I had to tell one poor soul she couldn’t have my awesomely awesome pirate novel until July, sniff! (srsly, I don’t love myself that much, I just had a lot of fun with the book. No idea if others will find it awesome or not, lol). But she does score a backlist title, hopefully that is some consolation. I’d give her a galley, but I don’t have one yet and no one wants my pre-edit work. *shudder*

I actually sat down and wrote some major wordage last night. On a new story. Well not a new story but a reworked version of my High Priestess story that I absolutely must write ASAP. So yay that! I think it will be fun, it is kind of a twisted Cinderella type thing. With hot sex. Woot! Been a while–Maya is awesome to work on but kind of sex free, over all. The plot just didn’t call for it. There is sex, but probably only three explicit scenes in the whole thing. This compared to Kiara, which is like, a book of sex. It helped that the heroine’s magickal (eat it, k haters) talent was sex. Definitely helped.

I’m slowly, slowly feeling the weird 1,000 hamster thing I was experiencing die down. I’m fairly sure I have too many irons in the fire and my brain is not a multitasking one. Too many writing projects (3 or 4), too many knit/crochet projects (3 or 4), a ton of back dayjob paperwork to do (er, a LOT), not to mention the daily new stuff. I’m working really hard on doing one thing at a time, focusing on that and nothing else but that. I seem to get more done that way.

And back to work I go…
