From the yet-unnamed-tarot-book (unedited apart from spelling errors)

“I believe you owe the Goddess a debt, Prince Peter. I can’t imagine a more beautiful place to make your worship than here in the bosom of her lands.”

Peter didn’t need any more encouragement than that. Dismounting, he pulled a blanket out of the pack and lay it on the ground just at the edge of the trees, overlooking the kingdom in all it’s colorful glory. “Let’s begin,” he said, and that was her cue to the formalities as he disappeared behind a tree.

Jocasta had to hide a smile–few were so modest inside the temple. Removing her slippers, she stood at the edge of the blanket, much as she would stand at the edge of her altar at the temple. Closing her eyes, she drew magickal energy from the ley line that ran under her feet. “Goddess Aoraeyve, accept the offerings of your humble servant, Peter. He has received the gift of healing from your generous hands and your lifeblood magick.” Jocasta slipped her circlet from her hair and unhooked her cape, folding both neatly nearby. “As you bid he has come to offer his very body as worship and thanks for your ministrations. I beseech your presence, so that your ancient will can be fulfilled.” In a smooth, practiced motion she pulled the shift, revealing nothing but her lily-white skin underneath. As she removed the last inch of garment a tingling began at the base of her feet, creeping slowly upward from the ground, entwining around her legs, increasing in power and circling like a whirlwind in her womanhood, her solar plexus, her heart before moving up further, through her throat and into her forehead, at last ending in the very crown of her head so that her entire body buzzed and hummed with the presence of the Goddess. So it had been since she had entered into her service, and so it would be until she chose to leave–the Goddess dwelt within her, accepted worship from prince and pauper alike.

Yeah, I used Seventh Sanctum for that goddess name. Wonder how you pronounce it…

I can’t wait to read the rest!

Cool! And I love “Jocasta” as her name.

(Standing precisely where she did, and having the ecstatic experience she seems to have had, I can’t resist: in some sense, Jocasta totally got “ley”-ed…)

FWIW: “Aoraeyve” is pronounced “air-eye-oo-way,” four syllables, if it’s meant to be read in a Celtic-ish way. Or “Zababa Ubshu-ukkinakku E-igi-kalama,” if you’re slanting towards reconstructed ancient Assyrian.
