I’ve been enjoying the summer but I am counting the few days I have left until the kids go back to school!
I have also managed to write myself into a corner I can’t quite figure out in Kiara. I’m thinking I need to take a step back and look at the whole thing again, see if I’m headed in the right direction. Sometimes it isn’t even the saggy middle but the saggy “get me from the late middle to the end.” It’s too late to send in the man with the gun, so I need to find a way to both build tension, keep readers interested, heighten romantic affection and cruise toward the peak of action. All in a chapter or two.
17 million books on writing, and it really just boils down to inspiration in the shower. I think I’ll be spending a lot of time there until I figure things out…
