It isn’t the fucking that really does it for me. I think you know that. I can fuck anyone I like, I’m still young, my body still in the kind of shape that men hit on me in bars and restaurants. Like I’m a public commodity to be traded. They aren’t for me, let them find the women who like to fuck and leave me alone.

Don’t get me wrong, fucking is fun enough. The merging of bodies, and all that nonsense. I can see the appeal, but it just isn’t what makes me wet. I certainly don’t find myself in bed alone at night dreaming of panting and thrusting and the endless repetition of enter, retreat, repeat. Fucking bores me.

You know even as you read this what I really love. What makes my cunt ache and my body yearn for more, again, now, please. I close my eyes and night and stroke my swollen clit with only one thought on my mind, no matter how many people I meet, how many anonymous strangers I fuck.

Without you, it all means nothing. It isn’t the fucking, love. It’s you.

Hey there!

There’s still time to enter my contest to celebrate the release of my new story, Pleasure’s Power: The High Priestess. Pleasure’s Power is a story I wrote to scratch an itch I had–what if the hero wasn’t as much a muscle bound fancy boy as a solid, loyal fellow who worshipped the ground my heroine walked on? From that idea came Peter and Jocasta, two very unique characters in a sea of alphas. I had a lot of fun writing the story

As a bonus, I’m giving away a five dollar extasy gift certificate to anyone who comments on my blog through the end of today (special extended deadline!). Visit me at http://www.ameliajune.net/blog

Here’s a very adult excerpt from Pleasure’s Power to get you excited for this Monday morning

Peter’s breath came in rough, ragged gasps that tore at his chest and forced him to take a moment’s rest. “My lady,” he wheezed.

“Yes Peter, son of Emmule?”

“What would you have of me?” His cock pushed into the scratchy wool of the blanket, but that only made his want more greedy. Needing to focus on something besides his wantonness, he stroked the inside of her beautiful thighs and used a corner of the blanket to wipe away the excess wetness. Minutes spun out and he waited, every piece of him pulsing, his desire unquenched by time.

At last, she spoke. “I would have you inside me, Peter.”
Relief flooded through him. “Thank you, my lady.” He paused then, not wanting to let hunger overtake respect. Gathering his wits, he moved to position himself over her, hands set above her shoulders. The roar of arousal rushed around him and the breeze became a wind, whipping the trees overhead as he pushed his cock inside her. Strong muscles gripped him with firm assurance, her fingernails scratching streaks up his back that later would raise a welt but only burned sweetly in the moment. Her pull forced him deep inside. Unable to control himself any longer, he pulled back and reared forward again, thrusting up into her waiting depths even as she lifted her hips to meet him.

So far, NaNo is going swimmingly. I’m at almost 17k and right on target for the month so far. My heroine is trapped in a man’s body, so you know, all is well.

As for my new story, Pleasure’s Power, it is officially releasing on November 15th! I’m pleased to say that I think it is a fun story with some hawt scenes and a neat little killer bee ending. You’ll just have to see for yourself. Here is a blurb and excerpt for you (nsfw):

Blurb:
All great stories start with once upon a time…

In this time there is a prince, Peter, who loves his kingdom but cannot obey his mother the queen. There is a priestess, Jocasta, whose faith is strong though she has private doubts about the high priestess’s ability to lead. In between them lies the Goddess, who only concerns herself with pleasure and abundance.

When the unlikely lovers meet on a bright spring day, the fate of the kingdom comes to rest in their hands. Can they unite crown and temple and please the Goddess? Or will they be separated by those who seek power over pleasure?

Excerpt:
“Each time I visit with you, Goddess, your presence renews my faith in the land, in you and in your gifts to us.” He paused, then added in ritual form, “What would you have of me, my lady?” He forced himself to look directly into her eyes. The black of her pupils reflected the many multitudes of stars overhead.

“I would have your best ministrations, prince of my realm.”

Peter grinned. Sometimes the Goddess asked for only a gentle touch, a caress. Tonight she seemed to want all of him. Jocasta shivered, pretty goose flesh rising on her arms. “I’m honored to give you pleasure, Lady.” Jocasta once again entwined her hands in his hair and grasped tightly, forcing a gasp from his lips. On strong arms, he pushed himself down over her body, blowing air over her exposed flesh and reveling in the little movements of her reaction.

Faced with her womanhood, he grasped her thighs, one in each hand, and pushed them apart. The milky flesh of her legs quivered as she drew her legs apart, allowing him to access her most secret places. Desire pounded through his body and thrummed in his head, blinding him to all but what lay before him. Lost in passion, he began his worship with a sigh of happiness.

Get a copy of your own at http://www.extasybooks.com on November 15th!

Mm nekkid people. Good times.

I need to get on my other computer and post a blurb and excerpt, hope to do that asap. Why are the documents I need always on the other computer?? WHY?!

In other news, NaNoWriMo has started well, day two’s goal is met and I haven’t even written yet today. My day job has gone ahead and gotten busy, so you know, when it rains it pours. But the story is going well so far, and Morgan Freeman made an appearance last night which… I choose to believe is a good omen. Morgan Freeman makes every story cooler, right?

Woohoo, edits are back on Sun and Moon!

Things I have learned from this round of edits:

1. I use the em dash way, way too much.
2. I have a comma addiction
3. The universal POV is not okay with my publisher. My poor editor had to fix a TON of head hopping as a result, she must think I’m an idiot! Doh!

That last one is kind of a bummer. I work in third person limited all the time, and now I’m starting to feel that all the stories I read have it too. First person seems rare, and the universal “storyteller” type feel is pretty much out. I find myself longing for a change in tone, just for variety. On the other hand, that isn’t to say that I personally did a great job with universal POV. It was tough.

I think the story turned out very sweet with some excessive naughtiness that makes me smile. The editor suggested a sequel, which is always flattering. This was always a one-off in my mind, so I’ll have to think about it.

I’m pleased to have a release on the way and proud of the work. I hope to have news on a release date very soon, and a cover too

When I started writing about the guardians, I thought I would make things easy on myself. I set the main characters in the sonoran desert where I grew up. I set them in the modern day world, set it up so that everything would be basically research-free. That did make things easier in terms of setting, locations, descriptions.

Then, I started adding magic. Shapeshifters, for one thing. That required all kinds of rules–do their clothes go with them, how does it look, what is the process? Not to mention the fact that not all my shifters live within the same rules, some have different ones all together. They use magic, accessing ley lines of energy. There are major and minor spells, each shifter able to use them to varying degrees. There is an entire religious system tied into this magic that required written laws, mythology, lore and backstory. I have a huge One Note notebook with tons of written notes and still it doesn’t encompass everything I’ve written yet. I need to get the main house drawn up, even, so I know whose room is where.

Add to these things the difficulty of following my own rules. Things as simple as times of day have to be carefully written, along with moon phases and travel. If my character shifted in the last scene, she’d better be naked in the next one, for example. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to rewrite a scene for breaking one of my own rules.

Yeah. This is the opposite of easy. Oops.

I’ve been enjoying the summer but I am counting the few days I have left until the kids go back to school!

I have also managed to write myself into a corner I can’t quite figure out in Kiara. I’m thinking I need to take a step back and look at the whole thing again, see if I’m headed in the right direction. Sometimes it isn’t even the saggy middle but the saggy “get me from the late middle to the end.” It’s too late to send in the man with the gun, so I need to find a way to both build tension, keep readers interested, heighten romantic affection and cruise toward the peak of action. All in a chapter or two.

17 million books on writing, and it really just boils down to inspiration in the shower. I think I’ll be spending a lot of time there until I figure things out…

I’m setting the new Jason Bell story in the slight future, only about sixty years or so. I’m pondering how things might change.

I’ve decided that most plastic will have been replaced with more reusable and environmentally friendly materials like biological resins. While paper still exists, in the form of old books and boxes, most people don’t use it. They’ve traded in their paper for digital forms of data. This might be a bit self-serving, since I write ebooks.

I’m not sure what transportation will look like. I’m not sold on the flying car as a viable option, but certainly electric vehicles. Instead of gas stations, there will be places to trade your dead batteries for live ones.

I do not know what food/space travel/fashion will be yet. It might not matter, because the setting moves pretty quickly to Jason’s “fictional” universe (I mean, is it REALLY fiction?)

Please note, my paper will still have square corners. No octagonal paper over here, thankyouverymuch.

In any case, planning for the slight future is more research intensive than I realized. Is there any story that does not require research? I’m starting to think that answer is a fat no. Sigh.
